i'll have the four dollar lunch
A lunch that costs only $4 in Midtown? And is on the healthy balanced meal side of things? And is vegetarian? Yup. I found it. Go to the cart on the NW corner of 39th & Broadway, right next to the fruit guy. Ask for the $4 vegetarian lunch, which includes 6 falafel, roasted eggplant (roasted to perfection), salad, beans, rice, yogurt sauce and hot sauce. Tell them I sent you. They don't know me by name, but tell them I sent you anyway.

YumMMmmmmy!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by this cart yesterday, and for $4 there was no eggplant! Only falafel...
ReplyDeleteIt was good nonetheless, but not so much of a steal :(
Yes Anon, that happened to me too. I went 3 days in a row. On the second day, he was out of eggplant. But as a 2-day-in-row customer, he offered me extra eggplant the next day. And he made good on his offer. It pays to be a preferred customer. :-)
ReplyDeleteBut you have to admit, with the quantity of rice, beans and falafel, it is still a great deal.
