A blog about all things fashion designer, including seeking art in daily life, appreciating great design, and discovering the pleasing nuances in the urban landscape. I also blog about architecture, interior design, contemporary art, accessories for the home, shopping in NYC, tips for looking good in layers, bargain finds, and my own private musings on the stop-start nature of the creative process.

odd collections
I like this image by London-based designer/illustrator James Joyce which is posted on Designboom today. For a long time, I saved bread ties -- the plastic square kind with the date stamped on them. I was planning to scan them in and do a t-shirt design, or some cool thing or other. Eventually I just threw them away. I should have held on to them; but when you move, your odd collections get sacrificed. Like my collection of sugar cubes from Paris. Sadly, I do not have them anymore either.
