alas, the sneaker. (because I live in nyc and walk a ton!) but not too
sneakery of a sneaker. more of a sneaker disguised as a shoe, like a mary
jane style or a high-tech looking black one with a metallic accent. how
about Royal Elastics? I must go try some on. I really like the non-sneakeryness
of their styles.

Oh well, I guess it does snow in Brooklyn. To the right of the water tower is usually a nice view of the Shakeshack Building in Manhattan. (Some refer to this building as the Metropolitan Life Insurance Tower, but to me, it is the Shakeshack Building, because the Danny Meyer's Shake Shack serves up creamy frozen custard caramel shakes right nearby in beautiful Madison Square Park.) Below is another picture of the Brooklyn Blizzard 06. I call this one "Brooklyn Backyard." Still, this is nothing compared to the 90 inches (!!) of snow we had in Boston last winter. Despite today, I still consider the weather here to be tropical.  Labels: water tower

90 inches!! Do Bostonians still go shopping in that kind of weather? Beautiful picture...
Actually, no. It used to get rather depressing to have non-stop slush and no opportunities to wear nice shoes and pants. Salt stains are the enemy of fashion. Thankfully I have flown south for all of my winters now!
