alas, the sneaker. (because I live in nyc and walk a ton!) but not too
sneakery of a sneaker. more of a sneaker disguised as a shoe, like a mary
jane style or a high-tech looking black one with a metallic accent. how
about Royal Elastics? I must go try some on. I really like the non-sneakeryness
of their styles.

analog blogger
As you can see, I do not use a wireless notebook. Because the spiral binding is made of wire!!!! Ok, terrible joke, but I have been dying to work that one in somehow. I am an analog blogger on the weekends and on the subway, jotting down blog ideas when I am away from my computer. I take the weekends off from blogging, because I feel it is a good idea to step away from the computer completely and live the analog life. Don't you? Do you? As you can partially see from my notebooks (please don't analyze my handwriting, I know it is a crazy scrawl. but creative, right?), some things swirling around in my brain that I want to write about in some form soon ( haiku or expanded) are the following: - the Frank Gehry movie out now
- the Ring of Fire fault line
- another cooling solution or two or three
- Ayurveda
- Dreaming Lhasa, a film out next week
- the Tao te Ching
- the new book I am reading on Antoni Gaudi
- an architect I have never heard of before but now love named Oscar Niemeyer
- Brasilia
- a special Korean buffet currently at the U.N.
- and assorted other food-related posts

It's about a 40/60 % split for analog/digital for me. There's nothing better than writing with a really nice roller ball pen.
