alas, the sneaker. (because I live in nyc and walk a ton!) but not too
sneakery of a sneaker. more of a sneaker disguised as a shoe, like a mary
jane style or a high-tech looking black one with a metallic accent. how
about Royal Elastics? I must go try some on. I really like the non-sneakeryness
of their styles.

neck novelty
I am always attracted to sculptural neck pieces, and this piece from Necklush, made from silk screened seamless cotton loops, is certainly a novel idea for a necklace-meets-scarf -- call it what you will. Check it out on Trunkt. Necklush is based in LI City, just a bridge away. We love the local designers. Oh, they also have a Website (with Necklushies that range from $24-$74) if you want to investigate further. After a bit more research, I found that Necklush creators, Stephano Diaz & Troy Mattison Hicks, are creative in all directions. Check out Microfantastic for the real truth behind Necklush. Another fun piece that is similar, but not, is from Supayana, made from shoelaces. It's also a necklace-meets-scarf sort of thing. It seems that Supayana came into a surplus of shoelaces and decided to refashion them into affordable $20 statement pieces. We like that. Check it out on Etsy. Labels: accessories
